New urine protocol
Posted or Updated on 27 Jun 2024
Patients over 16 years
In keeping with current guidance, as of Monday 1st July we no longer need a urine sample to diagnose most urinary tract infections. As a result, patients will be required to ring the practice and answer some questions. Please do not bring urine samples to the main reception. If you ring before 12noon it will be looked at the same day, after 12 it will be reviewed the following day. After a Clinician has reviewed your responses, you will be contacted with advice regarding your treatment plan. This might be in the form of a text message or a telephone call. Occasionally you will be invited in for a consultation. Thank you for your cooperation.
